How to Add Your Favorite Folder or Program to (My) Computer in Windows 7 and 8

Would you like to have that favorite folder or software that you use all the time detailed in Computer together with all your drives so it is truly simple to entry? Laptop is not a standard folder so you can not just fall a shortcut there the normal way. But there is a quick way to get a shortcut detailed in Computer and here’s how.

Windows 7

  1. Open the Start off search box
  2. Enter:  %appdata%
  3. The hidden folder “Roaming” will open
  4. Navigate to the subfolder MicrosoftWindowsNetwork Shortcuts
  5. Location a shortcut there to the desired folder or plan

Windows 8

  1. Open up the Operate box with the keyboard shortcut Winkey+R
  2. Enter:  %appdata%
  3. The hidden folder “Roaming” will open up
  4. Navigate to the subfolder MicrosoftWindowsNetwork Shortcuts
  5. Area a shortcut there to the wanted folder or system
That is it. Open Personal computer and you will see your shortcut outlined as a Community Area.
